Must:
We are seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Line) with 3-5 years of experience in roles such as Senior ICT Support Technician, MSP Level 2/3 engineer, System Administrator, or Infrastructure Support Engineer, located within a one-hour commute from our Cambridge office. The ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 3 years in IT support, ideally in a 2nd/3rd Line role. - A full UK driving license and eligibility for DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certification, which we will cover. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, and application issues. - Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Zendesk). - Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical mindset. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals. - Fluency in spoken and written English, as we work primarily in schools. - A passion for learning and professional growth. Nice-to-Have (But Not Essential): - Experience with Azure AD, Intune, Group Policy, and SharePoint. - Any IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL). - Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VLANs). - An interest in Cybersecurity. - Experience in the Education Sector.

Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Support Engineer (2nd Line), I will expect you to be the go-to expert for resolving technical issues while ensuring our customers remain productive and stress-free. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing 2nd Line support for Microsoft 365, Windows, and desktop-related issues. - Remotely troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems effectively. - Managing escalated support tickets to ensure customer satisfaction. - Assisting in onboarding new users, including setting up accounts and devices. - Supporting Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange. - Maintaining and updating IT documentation. - Collaborating closely with senior engineers and IT managers on infrastructure improvements. - Delivering exceptional customer service, keeping non-technical users confident and informed. - Performing site visits to customer locations, maintaining a good balance between office work and customer interactions.
