Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience in the data engineering field.
- Experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Spark, and SQL.
- Strong experience with SQL databases.
- Expertise in data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, ADF).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and related data services.
Responsibilities
As our Senior Data Developer, I will lead the development of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data integration and analytics from diverse sources, including cloud storage, databases, and APIs. My key duties will include:
- Understanding the business and product strategy to ensure data interpretation aligns with goals.
- Providing technical leadership by breaking down initiatives into features, epics, and stories that balance value and risk.
- Setting standards and driving quality and consistency in solution delivery.
- Collaborating closely with the Data Architect to design our data architecture and create build plans.
- Leading the build and maintenance of large-scale data processing workflows, including ingestion, cleansing, transformation, validation, and storage.
- Collaborating with the BI Product Owner, analysts, and other stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Optimizing and tuning data processing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implementing data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the pipelines.
