To be successful as a Reference Data Java Developer, I seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- Hands-on software development experience on the Goldensource EDM platform.
- Experience in developing and implementing Instrument reference data in a Banking/Finance domain.
- Proficiency in developing large applications using Core Java and Oracle/PostgreSQL.
- Additional skills that are highly valued include experience with AWS and cloud-based deployment of large applications, proficiency in Team City, Jenkins, GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, along with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Candidates may be assessed on critical skills relevant to success in this role, including risk management, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills, as well as job-specific technical expertise.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and improving software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
- Developing and delivering high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, develop solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Participating in code reviews with peers and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Staying informed about industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adhering to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure the delivery of secure software solutions.
- Implementing effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Description
As an Assistant Vice President, I expect you to consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
