Requirements
Must:
- I possess a strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.
- I have experience with data engineering, data warehousing, and data mesh concepts.
- I am capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- I exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- I demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- I have 3-5 years of experience as a Data Quality Engineer or Data Analyst.
- I am proficient in SQL and Python.
- I have experience with modern data testing frameworks such as dbt and Great Expectations.
- I can write and maintain dbt tests for data transformations.
- I have experience in CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- I develop and implement a comprehensive data quality framework, which includes defining data quality metrics, setting up data quality checks, and automating quality monitoring.
- I collaborate with domain data owners and Data Protection Officers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and data contracts, continuously monitoring data quality against these agreements.
- I conduct in-depth data analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- I develop and execute data validation rules and tests to ensure data accuracy and adherence to data standards using both unit testing and automated testing.
- I utilize AWS/GCP services to build and maintain our data estate.
- I set up alerts and monitoring systems to proactively identify and address data quality issues.
- I effectively communicate with stakeholders, including data engineers, data analysts, and business users, to understand their data needs and resolve quality issues.
