Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Mainframe Architect with the following qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in mainframe engineering, database management, and enterprise IT architecture.
- Deep expertise in IBM DB2, IMS Database, Adabas, or other mainframe database technologies.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, JES, RACF/ACF2, CICS, COBOL, PL/1, SQL, and Natural.
- Experience in database modernization and hybrid cloud integration.
- Ability to articulate the business value of modernization and leverage cutting-edge mainframe capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a track record of delivering complex solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
As a Mainframe Architect, your role will include:
- Leading the design and delivery of mission-critical mainframe solutions across hybrid environments.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, success criteria, and technical strategy.
- Architecting and implementing modernization strategies, integrating mainframe databases with cloud platforms.
- Providing technical leadership throughout project lifecycles, ensuring optimal performance, security, and resilience.
- Optimizing database performance, capacity planning, and high-availability architectures.
- Working closely with Engineers, Architects, and Business Leaders to build scalable and future-proof solutions.

The salary for this position ranges from £100,000 to £118,000, complemented by a performance bonus, pension, and private medical care. We offer hybrid working arrangements at our London-based headquarters.
