Requirements
Must:
- A Business, IT or other applicable honours degree or equivalent work experience, such as a previous Business Analyst or Software Analyst role.
- Experience in Requirements Planning and Estimating, including Elicitation, Analysis, Validation, and Documentation.
- Varied business process and systems knowledge, including Wildebeest, M3, Salesforce, etc.
- Relationship management skills, including Negotiation, Influencing, and Persuasion.
- Meeting, Interviewing, and Facilitation experience with keen active listening skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for collaborating with all colleagues, including senior management.
- A positive attitude with effective and efficient time management skills.
- A desire to improve the customer experience and resolve issues.
- Desirable but not essential:
- BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Azure DevOps/Team Foundation Server (TFS) for requirements and test artifacts.
- SQL skills for data analysis tasks.
- Understanding of Salesforce, websites, and digital selling platforms.
- Understanding of ITIL standards (ITIL V3 Foundation).
- Experience working in a Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) environment, including V-Model or similar SDLC testing experience.
- Presentation skills.
- Full UK Driving License.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Software Analyst, I will be responsible for:
- Managing and prioritizing Incident, Service, Problem, and Change records while providing Subject Matter Authority (SMA) advice or training to users.
- Specifying changes to systems and/or data, updating documentation, and collaborating with system developers and colleagues specializing in various areas of IT Systems Analysis.
- Improving systems by defining requirements, reducing costs, enhancing sustainability, and quantifying potential business benefits.
- Collaborating to create and iterate viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for deploying information and communication systems.
- Analyzing information structures, including logical analysis of taxonomies, data, and metadata, and developing innovative ways to manage the organization’s information assets.
- Defining and managing business goals and the scope of change initiatives, specifying business functional and non-functional requirements for effective delivery of agreed changes.
- Planning, designing, managing, executing, and reporting tests using appropriate testing tools and techniques while conforming to agreed standards and regulations. This includes creating test cases, test scripts, test reports, and test plans to measure and improve software quality.
- Providing consultancy and technical expertise, offering advice and recommendations based on current system functionality analysis.
- Building and maintaining great relationships with key business and IT stakeholders.
Description
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role based in Caerphilly with a salary of £27,000. I am keen on finding a candidate who has a passion for working with IT software and is excited about solving IT-related problems. The position offers an opportunity to join our excellent Application Delivery team and support business and software delivery teams across the systems lifecycle. I will provide training to expand skills and offer a good work-life balance with great working hours (36.25 hours a week, Monday to Friday).
