Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at various technical knowledge levels across our organization. Ideally, you will have 12 months of previous experience in a Helpdesk or Service Desk support role, providing end-user support, preferably in a retail or other fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, the capacity to multi-task, and a solid understanding of IT Service Delivery best practices are essential. Technical awareness in the following areas would be beneficial:
- Active Directory user administration
- Google Gsuite experience
- OSX, Android, and ChromeOS skills
- ITIL certification
- Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Anti-virus tools
- Remote desktop/VNC
- Print management
- Jira suite or other recognized ITSM platforms
- Basic hardware diagnostics/triage
An ITIL foundation certification is preferred, but training will be provided. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow are crucial.
Responsibilities
As our new IT Service Desk Analyst, I will provide an excellent first point of contact within IT for all inquiries. My tasks will include recording, prioritizing, assigning, and managing all requests and incidents reported to the Service Desk. I will manage customer expectations and communications through various channels, including telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions. If necessary, I will escalate issues to team members or other departments and keep track of project issues, raising them with the appropriate project teams. Additionally, I will document new processes, amend existing documents, and propose new ones. Staying updated with technological advancements in the organization and the wider market is essential, as is adhering to company IT policies and procedures. Collaboration with my team and cross-functional colleagues will be key, and I will represent our brand positively.
Description
This role involves weekend work on a rotational basis, generally requiring attendance roughly 1 in 5 weekends. In recognition of this commitment, I will receive lieu days scheduled on the following Thursday and Friday, effectively giving me a 4-day "long weekend" after working a weekend shift. The position is a 37.5-hour contract.
