Requirements
Must:
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting or cost management ideally within IT or tech.
- Experience managing suppliers or contracts, including recruitment suppliers.
- Comfortable raising POs, handling invoices and working with SoWs.
- Some familiarity with Power Apps or Power Automate is a bonus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
Responsibilities
- Helping manage IT budgets, forecasts and actual spend.
- Looking into cost variances and helping explain whats driving them.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process and providing financial insights to the IT leadership team.
- Managing contracts with IT suppliers, software vendors and recruitment partners.
- Handling Statements of Work (SoWs), ensuring accuracy and approval.
- Raising and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) and processing receipts for timely payments.
- Monitoring contract renewals and collaborating with Procurement to ensure compliance.
- Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards on IT spend and supplier activity.
- Double-checking data across different systems for accuracy.
- Preparing regular reports for managers, highlighting trends, risks, or potential cost savings.
- Using tools like Power Apps and Power Automate to improve manual processes.
- Streamlining financial and supplier processes within the team.
- Identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
- Working closely with IT leaders, Finance and Procurement teams.
- Supporting hiring managers with recruitment supplier processes, SoWs and PO requirements.
- Providing clear updates to help the team understand budgets, spend and supplier activity.
Description
We are a well-known global software company based in Newcastle, looking for an IT Finance and Supplier Governance Analyst to join our Global IT team. This initial 3-month engagement is likely to extend, offering a daily rate between £350-£400 (Inside IR35) while requiring in-office presence 3 days per week.
