Requirements
Must:
To be considered for the Data Engineer position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures and software stacks.
- A deep understanding of large, always-on enterprise system architecture.
- Proficiency in Software Development within a Linux Environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker.
- Hands-on experience with data transformation tools, such as DBT.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Prefect or similar.
- A strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing concepts, and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an attention to detail.
- Strong experience in modeling machine behavioral data.
- Understanding of data governance and security.
Responsibilities
In the role of Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Building a database from scratch using SQL.
- Developing and managing imaging data.
- Orchestrating data workflows and pipelines.
- Optimizing and managing databases and data warehouses.
- Implementing data transformation workflows.
- Collaborating with the Software Engineering team and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Developing and maintaining documentation for data engineering processes and systems.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of data engineering solutions.
