Data Governance and Compliance Lead

- Develop and implement an IT strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational objectives. - Assess and improve the efficiency, scalability, and security of existing systems and infrastructure. - Identify and deliver technology-driven solutions to streamline operations and improve productivity. - Lead digital transformation initiatives, including software selection, implementation, and integration across departments. - Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies, investment priorities, and risk mitigation. - Oversee day-to-day IT operations, balancing internal team capabilities with outsourced provider services. - Ensure effective service delivery, system reliability, and performance management from IT vendors. - Manage complex IT environments including cloud, network, and application ecosystems ensuring resilience and cost-effectiveness. - Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and escalation processes between internal and external IT functions. - Maintain and enhance data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and related standards. - Own and manage data security, privacy, and information risk processes, ensuring the business meets legal and regulatory obligations. - Lead internal and external audits, manage data incidents, and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans. - Build a culture of data ethics, security awareness, and compliance through regular training and engagement. - Mentor and develop the internal IT team, building resilience and service excellence. - Partner with business stakeholders to ensure IT systems and processes enable growth and innovation.
