Requirements
Must:
We need you to have a proven track record with over 5 years of in-depth experience in Java (version 17 or higher) development at an enterprise scale, utilizing Spring Boot or similar frameworks. You should have subject matter expert knowledge and significant practical experience in Agile development, as well as a strong grasp of automation, continuous integration (CI/CD), test-driven development (TDD), and continuous refactoring. Additionally, you should possess in-depth knowledge and practical experience performing code reviews and driving software standards and best practices. Familiarity with cloud computing technologies (e.g., Azure Cloud) and practical experience working with container-based restful microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential. Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Netflix Stack, Maven/Gradle, and ORM tools (e.g., Hibernate) is also required.
It’s a bonus if you have experience with SDLC/DevOps tools such as Git, CI/CD pipeline frameworks (e.g., Jenkins/ADO, SonarQube, NexusIQ), migrating legacy Java platforms, and knowledge of Middleware products (e.g., IBM IIB/ACE).
Responsibilities
As part of our agile team, you will assist in the evolution of our Java Microservice and Cloud Platform, ensuring it remains fit for the future and supports changing requirements and working practices in a fast-changing technology landscape. Your role will involve identifying, implementing, or suggesting changes that enhance service to our internal and external customers. You will support and guide junior team members while ensuring the delivery and management of tasks across legacy and cloud-based Java stacks. Your focus will be on delivering quality outputs in a timely manner that meet stakeholder needs, emphasizing not only the final product but also its quality.
