Must:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who possesses strong full stack JavaScript development skills. You should be comfortable working on projects that may require a 50/50 split between front-end and back-end development. Experience with JavaScript frameworks is essential; we primarily use Vue.js, but knowledge of Angular or React is also acceptable. Ideally, you will also have experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
In addition, you should have a product-focused mindset with good business acumen, a strong knowledge of APIs, and a deep understanding of web development practices, tools, and technologies. We value your desire to learn and embrace new technologies. You should have full software development lifecycle experience, including CI/CD and testing, and be collaborative, with Agile team experience. Mentorship for more junior developers is encouraged. A degree in Computer Science or a similar tech discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate within an Agile technology team to design and develop complex systems, troubleshoot, and solve complex software issues. Your primary focus will be on front-end development using JavaScript and Vue.js, but you will also explore and utilize various other technologies within our stack, including TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Python, and even some legacy PHP.
You will own your own DevOps and deployment, emphasizing getting things done for immediate business impact while also contributing to the longer-term strategy. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and interesting systems at our scale-up tech company, aiding in smart matching for commercial van drivers and consumers through job bidding and route optimization.
