Requirements
Must:
We are looking for Software Engineers with proven abilities in object-oriented C++17 or later development, along with a solid understanding of design patterns. You should have experience with the full software development lifecycle, software verification, and testing. Strong communication skills are essential. Familiarity with UML/SysML is also required.
Experience in Agile development and exposure to languages such as C, C#, scripting languages, and Java would be advantageous. Knowledge of integration and target hardware testing is a plus, as well as experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS), Windows/Linux cross-platform development, Visual Studio 2022, CMake or similar build environments, Windows/Linux system configuration, CANbus/MilCAN/J1939, Git version control, Youtrack/Jira issue tracking, and MariaDB/MySQL databases. Experience with Boost, XML, JSON, cryptography, Qt6 GUI development, and developing unit tests using a framework such as GoogleTest is also desirable.
Additionally, we seek software engineers who have worked in a military or defense industry within the last 12 months or those who are capable of obtaining security clearance (SC Level minimum).
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle design, development, and integration of equipment at both system and sub-system levels. You will be exposed to various vehicles and systems and engage in a mixture of new development, maintaining legacy applications, and specifying requirements for externally developed equipment.
Your primary tasks will include designing and implementing software solutions, supporting the overall system design process to ensure optimal allocation of functionality across different physical parts of the system, and validating software and systems. This may involve producing test tools, creating test schedules, drafting test and integration plans, and generating technical reports. You will be responsible for supporting task planning and estimating, scheduling your own work to meet target timescales and deliverable milestones, performing self-verification of your tasks to ensure completeness and quality of information, and conducting peer reviews to confirm the completeness and quality of output.
