Java Developer- London

In this role, you will be developing robust and scalable solutions using Java and modern frameworks. Your tasks will include applying strong object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and leveraging Java 8+ features (streams, functional interfaces, collections) for clean and efficient code. You will be responsible for building and maintaining RESTful APIs following best practices, implementing multi-threading and performance optimization strategies, and working with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Guice, and Mustache for web applications. You will also write unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito, Wiremock, and Cucumber, manage databases like Postgres, Aurora, and ElasticSearch, and utilize caching solutions like ElasticCache. Deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes, while having experience with AWS infrastructure, would be advantageous. Setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bitbucket, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible, and handling queuing and event-driven architectures with Kafka and SQS will also be part of your role. Implementing security best practices and monitoring/logging solutions (ELK stack, RedHat SSO, SonarQube) will be key responsibilities as well.
