Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Experience with databases; FileMaker experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Python or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with JSON and API usage.
- An eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A detail-oriented approach, well organized, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
The following experiences are a plus but not essential:
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and integrations.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic web development.
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines or data modeling principles.
- Previous experience in a publishing or creative industry environment.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Systems Developer, you will:
- Collaborate with the Senior Developer and Business Analyst to translate system requirements into reliable code.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scripts, integrations, and application workflows.
- Test new and existing functionality to identify bugs and performance issues.
- Respond to first- and second-line technical support tickets and liaise with users to troubleshoot problems.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and technical documentation.
- Maintain and support our title management and related systems.
- Work with structured data formats including JSON, XML, and CSV.
- Assist with data cleansing, import/export, and validation tasks as required.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments to understand their operational needs.
- Support and guide users adapting to system changes or upgrades.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning discussions.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum and potential for hybrid working, based in Central London.
