Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable IT Systems Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role or other outstanding personal experience. You should have:
- A passion for IT and providing high-energy customer service to client personnel, including director-level staff.
- Strong Windows desktop and server troubleshooting experience.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- The right mindset to understand how a whole site fits together, including internet connections, routers, switches, and servers to diagnose faults accurately.
- Networking knowledge, specifically in IPv4, VLANs, and NAT.
- VDI Experience, particularly in Microsoft RDS environments.
- A full driving license and your own car/van, as travel within the North East is essential for this role.
- An overall well-rounded skill set with a desire to learn and improve daily.
- A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out due to the nature of the role.
Responsibilities
As an IT Systems Engineer, your role will involve:
- Responding to support requests via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues primarily remotely, but also providing on-site support as required.
- Resolving escalated and recurring issues, while documenting fixes to benefit other engineers.
- Managing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, which includes servers, switches, access points, CCTV, AV, telephony, and typical computers.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Conducting installation work, such as structured cabling, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and more.
- Assisting other staff in project work as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
