Requirements
Must:
We seek a candidate with extensive experience in full-stack software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment. The right individual will have significant hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, along with a strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, TDD, and DevOps. A good proficiency in multiple programming languages like Python or JavaScript is essential, alongside extensive experience writing well-tested code. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code is important, as is experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Candidates should have experience with various architecture patterns, including microservices and event-driven design, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and a proven ability to manage and lead engineering teams to success. Expertise in designing scalable and secure software architectures is also required. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, previous experience as a senior software engineer, line management, and experience interviewing and screening candidates.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software systems, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and scalability. I will manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance to foster their professional growth. Consistent application of coding standards, development best practices, and operational processes will be crucial. Collaboration with product managers, UX/UI teams, and departments such as DevOps, QA, and IT will be necessary to translate business requirements into technical specifications. I will drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and security in our software applications. Conducting regular code reviews, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting complex technical issues will be fundamental parts of my duties. Staying up to date with the latest trends in software engineering and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will also be part of my responsibilities. Additionally, I will manage project timelines and contribute to bid questions and early-stage hiring processes when required.
