Requirements
Must:
We require a solid grounding in relational databases, SQL, and data integration skills. You should be confident in designing data models using techniques like UML and entity relationships. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, ideally AWS, and an understanding of how data moves in complex, hybrid environments are important. Proficiency in Python and open-source tools is essential, as well as comfort with data formats like JSON and XML. We value curiosity and a drive for efficiency in working with data.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to map out data flows across our organization, from capture to transfer and transformation across different domains. You will take the lead in building and maintaining our data catalogue and data dictionary, supporting the Data Protection Officer while strengthening our overall data management. Collaboration with architects in agile feature teams will be crucial to support data movement, migration, and integration needs. You will create key documentation to keep our data flows auditable and transparent, as well as address data quality issues proactively. Additionally, you will support the wider data architecture by helping to shape our governance processes, policies, and standards to ensure our data remains reliable, accessible, and impactful.
