Cyber Security Engineer

As a 'Spartan' consultant, you will undertake: - Network Security: Understand firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network protocols. - Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment: Identify, simulate, and remediate vulnerabilities using tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit) and manual testing. - Incident Response & Forensic Analysis: Manage and respond to security breaches, perform digital forensics, and mitigate damage through structured incident response processes. - Risk Management & Compliance: Identify potential security risks, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. - Security Architecture & System Hardening: Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructures by applying best practices. - Cryptography: Utilize knowledge of encryption algorithms and secure key management to protect data integrity and confidentiality. - Threat Intelligence & Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various threat sources to preempt potential cyber attacks. - Security Automation & Scripting: Use scripting languages (such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate tasks, analyze security logs, and manage incident response.
