Requirements
Must:
- Senior/Lead experience as a Java developer using Spring Boot
- Experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Ability to lead on projects and mentor less experienced engineers
- Advocate of DevOps principles
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases
- Based in Manchester, with the ability to commit to 3 days per week in the office
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of platform engineering for our Java-based backend
- Expand our infrastructure-as-code initiatives
- Mentor and support less experienced developers to aid in their progression
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders
- Take ownership of new feature development
Description
We are an exciting, well-established company based in central Manchester, looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team. We value hybrid working, allowing you to collaborate with other developers in the office three days a week. You will be working with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Vue.js, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases, among others. If you are passionate about writing high-quality code while mentoring others and fostering a strong DevOps culture, we want to hear from you!
