We are looking for candidates who possess a degree level qualification and/or 2-5 years of experience in Trading Application Support within the FinTech sector. Essential skills include extensive experience using Unix/Linux servers, the ability to write advanced SQL queries, and a strong understanding of relational databases. Scripting experience in Bash/Shell, Python, or similar is necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with the FIX Protocol, proven use of GIT or similar systems, and excellent communication skills are also required. We appreciate candidates who can explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical audiences. Experience supporting production applications, understanding end-to-end systems and processes, and a background in network support and troubleshooting are essential. Exposure to UK and EU equity markets is a plus. Desired qualifications include prior experience in a similar role, knowledge of Grafana, experience with Binary Protocols, familiarity with the Atlassian suite of products, and TCP/UDP knowledge.
Responsibilities
As a Trading Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible, alongside other operations analysts, for the day-to-day management of our exchange platforms. You will provide first-line support to connected clients and collaborate with other departments such as Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure, and Sales to ensure the smooth operation of live platforms. You'll support the build-out and configuration of new exchange platforms and take a lead role in technology client support, which includes platform delivery management, support, and knowledge transfer. Additionally, you will raise and deploy changes to support the daily operations of multiple exchange platforms, compile outage reports for any production outages, and serve as a subject matter expert on the exchange platforms from a technological perspective. Your role will also involve actively raising and pursuing improvements and changes that benefit the team and the wider ecosystem.
