Requirements
Must:
- UK Driving Licence with Cat C+E entitlement
- In-date Digi & CPC Card
- Terberg training or experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful, and organized individual
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work weekends
- Motivated and open to learning new skills
- Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
Technologies
Responsibilities
- Move and park vehicles and trailers in the yard, adhering to company compliance and site procedures
- Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment, following hygiene standards and the “clean as you go” policy
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle maintenance checks
- Complete full trailer audits (minimum of two per shift)
- Fulfill loading bay check (DE010D) sheet twice per day
- Monitor and record trailer temperatures to meet audit requirements
- Control diesel and milk spillages in line with company policy
- Safely move trailers from the parking area to the loading bay and despatch area once loaded
- Follow correct procedures for hitching and unhitching trailers
- Adhere to company procedures when reversing in the yard
- Ensure the "tug" or unit is kept clean and tidy
- Assist with deliveries to other depots, ensuring vehicles are not overweight
- Adhere to Tachograph procedures
- Follow relevant systems and procedures for Product Safety, Legality, Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Management
- Act in the best interests of the company and undertake any other duties as necessary
Description
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Permanent HGV/LGV Terberg Shunter driver for our busy Bellshill depot. This position offers an immediate start for successful candidates. Shifts are available Monday to Friday from 20:00 to 06:00. Pay rates: - Days: £15.87 per hour (overtime after 47.5 hours £17.85) - Nights: £18.13 per hour (overtime after 47.5 hours £20.39) - Additional rates for Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays.
