Requirements
Must:
- Experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for using data to drive change.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working within local government is essential.
- Desirable: Knowledge of data protection and information governance principles.
- Desirable: Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Power Platform).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support council services and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with service areas to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Build and maintain robust data models using BI tools, specifically Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.
- Collaborate with analysts, data officers, and IT colleagues across the council to support data-led transformation.
Description
We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for a 12-month contract, with a daily rate of £350-£400 (inside IR35). In this role, you'll be instrumental in transforming how we use data across the council by developing dashboards, reports, and data models that enhance decision-making and improve services for our residents. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to local government and help create positive outcomes for our communities by developing insightful and impactful BI solutions.
