Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in system engineering, integration, or digital systems delivery.
- Experience working within or alongside the defence or aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with defence frameworks or working with MOD end-users.
- Proven ability to work with customers, interpreting requirements and presenting technical concepts clearly and commercially.
- Understanding of defence networks, secure systems, or mission-critical software environments.
- A commercially minded approach, capable of aligning technical solutions with business value and customer priorities.
- Desirable: Experience in developing or integrating software applications within secure or tactical environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of proprietary software and digital systems into wider defence networks and operational platforms.
- Engage directly with end-users and stakeholders to capture technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Support the development and deployment of plugins, interfaces, and control applications in line with customer needs.
- Act as a technical lead during bid and proposal stages, contributing to solution design and customer presentations.
- Prepare integration documentation, implementation strategies, and technical collateral for use across internal and external teams.
- Identify potential risks and proactively manage technical and commercial implications throughout the project lifecycle.
Description
We are offering a high-impact role for a commercially driven Software & Integration Engineer to join our leading defence technology environment. This position is customer-facing and delivery-focused, where your ability to connect technical solutions with real-world defence requirements will be vital. You will play a central role in integrating advanced software solutions into broader defence platforms and networks, collaborating directly with customers, programme teams, and partner organisations. This role offers hybrid working options and requires UK Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain). The salary range is £60,000 - £65,000, negotiable based on experience.
