Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience and expertise in agent-based segmentation solutions, particularly with Cisco Secure Workload (CSW), Illumio, or Akamai Guardicore.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) skillset in the technologies and domains maintained by the Enterprise Network Services team.
- Knowledge of additional products such as ZScaler (ZIA, ZPA), Secure Web Gateways, SD-WAN Technologies, LAN technologies (Cisco Meraki), and DDI expertise.
- Understanding of underlying network routing and switching is necessary.
- Some programming, scripting, or automation experience with tools such as Python, CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills to break down complex problems, and creativity in developing solutions.
- Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to engage various stakeholders and manage their expectations.
Responsibilities
- At the forefront of defining design patterns and blueprints for the Enterprise Network Services group.
- Engage with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and technical stakeholders to understand design requirements.
- Assess, analyze, and triage requirements to identify common patterns that can be addressed through scalable solutions.
- Define applicable patterns and blueprints that provide optionality and flexibility for stakeholder review and feedback.
- Apply architecture and engineering principles to patterns and blueprints, including simplification, standardization, and security.
- Formally recommend blueprints for approval and acceptance by the ENS Engineering function and associated stakeholders.
- Document blueprints at both High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) levels, detailing suitability, applicability, and qualification criteria.
- Present designs within relevant Architecture Review Board (ARB) forums.
Description
We are looking for a Technical Consultant specializing in Cisco Secure Workload to join our Engineering group in the Enterprise Network Services team. This role is integral to our strategy and will require you to work on-site three days a week in London or Surrey. The contract will last for 12 months, with a daily rate ranging from £550 to £600 (deemed inside IR35). You will play a key role in driving a risk-reduction and zero-trust based architecture for application workloads across hybrid cloud and data center environments.
