We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a natural flair for technology and a strong willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers and possess a solid technical background. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a previous Senior ICT Technician or 2nd/3rd support role in the education sector is preferred but not essential. You should be self-driven, exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, and have the ability to work independently while being a great team player. Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Operating Systems, Virtualisation Technologies (particularly HyperV), and Cloud Technologies (Office365/Azure) is important.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will rely on you to handle 2nd/3rd line issues, respond to ICT emergencies, and resolve technical challenges impacting school operations by providing robust solutions. You will support internal networks, mentor 1st/2nd support roles, enforce school policies, and lead on installations or repairs of computers along with standardized applications and networking software. You will also be responsible for a range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, focusing on existing installations and upgrades.
Description
This position is a full-time, year-round role subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks. Due to the nature of the role, you must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle to travel between schools. We are offering a salary between £30,000 and £35,000, negotiable for the right candidate, along with benefits such as a pension scheme, electric/hybrid car scheme, cycle scheme, eye care vouchers, mental health support, and an employee assistance program.
