Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience across servers, storage (SAN/NAS), networks, and cloud (Azure).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft, VMware, or Hyper-V.
- Good understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, along with firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Bonus points for experience with Palo Alto, LogicMonitor, or other security tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to document clearly.
- A proactive mindset; you remain calm under pressure and are ready to step in when needed.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Support upgrade projects to enhance system performance and resilience.
- Maintain the security and reliability of critical IT systems.
- Play a role in disaster recovery planning.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Description
We offer a great opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our major global group with 45,000 colleagues worldwide. This role will allow you to build, secure, and future-proof the IT systems that keep our business running across the UK and beyond. The position is based in Milton Keynes with the flexibility of some home working (c. 1 day per week). We offer a salary of £47,000, a 5% pension plan, and 25 days of leave that increases to 30, along with 5 days to buy/sell as you need. You will also have regular travel to Birmingham and occasional trips to other UK or European sites, all within a forward-thinking global business where your ideas and expertise truly matter.
