Requirements
Must:
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar technical IT role. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating or contributing to IT projects using structured project management tools and methodologies. You will also have hands-on experience in designing and delivering solutions across a range of areas, including mobile device management for PC and smartphone/tablet estates, Cyber Essentials Plus, LAN/WAN technologies, and transitioning from on-premises to cloud solutions (SharePoint and Azure).
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the IT Infrastructure team to ensure the timely and effective delivery of complex IT Infrastructure projects. You will coach and develop team members to support their individual and collective professional growth. Monitoring and reporting on IT infrastructure performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, you will ensure alignment with ITIL best practices. You will act as an escalation point for complex or high-priority issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication. Collaborating with the Head of IT, you will identify and implement service improvements, automation opportunities, and digital initiatives. Additionally, you will support the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring service desk readiness and resource planning while facilitating regular team meetings and one-on-ones to support staff development and engagement. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, and you will ensure system integrity, data protection, security, backup, and disaster recovery are appropriate for our needs. Assessing system performance and recommending improvements, you will also manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, identifying opportunities for advancement.
