Requirements
Must:
We prefer candidates with a strong background in renewable energy development, particularly in onshore wind, solar PV, and battery storage. You should have significant experience in project management and a proven track record of successfully managing teams. A thorough understanding of the legal, financial, and risk aspects of project development in the renewable sector is essential. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in additional languages relevant to our core country focus would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As the Global Head of Project Development, I will manage the development of all current projects, including strategic decision-making, preparation of risk committees, and permitting for our forecasted portfolio. I will supervise all wind and solar project developers involved in prospecting, business development, and the acquisition of new projects. Additionally, I will advise and guide future country expansions by providing insights on legal, finance, and risk considerations, and assist in establishing new country offices. Regular reporting to internal stakeholders will also be part of my role. The core focus countries will be Germany, France, Italy, and the UK, with future growth efforts aimed at Poland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden.

We are an established European renewable energy developer with an international presence and over 5,000 employees globally, currently boasting a 6GW pipeline. We are seeking a Head of Project Development to support our continued growth in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. While the preferred location for this role is either London or Hamburg, we are open to considering candidates in other locations, provided they can travel to the office bi-weekly or monthly.
