Description

We are partnering with a leading organization in the commodities sector to appoint a Head of Engineering, a senior technical leadership position overseeing multiple agile software teams delivering across a critical product portfolio. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership. You will report into the divisional CIO and work closely with delivery leads, enterprise architects, and product teams to ensure consistent, high-quality engineering output and alignment with long-term technology goals. Bonus experience includes: - Previous experience in financial services, trading platforms, or commodities technology. - Knowledge of scaled agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe). - Exposure to DDD, CQRS, GraphQL, and actor-based frameworks (e.g., Akka, Orleans). - Cloud experience (preferably AWS, but Azure/GCP also considered). - Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Location: This is a hybrid working position, with occasional travel to London as needed. We offer a competitive senior leadership package, including additional benefits such as remote work options, bonuses, pension, and healthcare.
