Requirements

Must:
As the hiring company, we are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experiences: - A strong background in Operational Analysis, Approvals Assurance, Decision Support, and/or Modelling and Simulation within a consultancy context. - Experience in writing analysis documentation (e.g., OASP, COA) or business cases. - A proven ability to develop new tools and techniques. - Expertise in providing technical guidance and reviews to ensure high-quality project deliverables that meet customer expectations. - Experience leading multi-disciplined teams in a consultancy setting. - Familiarity with public sector operations and knowledge of government processes. - Capability to manage a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally. - Commitment to developing employees and teams through internal and external training. - Experience mentoring employees across all grades. - History of contributing to and leading successful bids or technical proposals. - Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK and either hold current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting with the company. To gain SC clearance, candidates typically need at least 5 years of UK residency. - A degree-level qualification or relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for: - Setting the vision and strategy for the department in collaboration with other department leads and ensuring effective communication across the company. - Leading and motivating the team, managing their performance, and facilitating team meetings to share knowledge, coordinate activities, pursue opportunities, and address issues. - Allocating consultants to projects and accounts, collaborating with Account Leads to successfully meet demand. - Developing and maintaining Operational Analysis service offerings aligned to account demand signals and coordinating with other departments to ensure service coherence across the business. - Identifying training needs and setting up training courses for department members, in addition to coaching on the use of Operational Analysis tools and techniques. - Supporting Account Leads by crafting technical approaches for bids and presenting to prospective customers, and collaborating to identify the need for new capabilities among customers. - Providing technical guidance and review on projects to ensure deliverables are of high quality and meet customer expectations. - Working with the talent acquisition team to attract new talent through networking and thought leadership while ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
