We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable experience in providing security advice on day-to-day operations and enhancing information security resilience within an organization. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in security domains, tools, and technologies such as DLP, SIEM, SOAR, and Vulnerability Management. A good working knowledge of network security, firewalls, threat management, and endpoint detection and response is essential. You should have the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address security challenges.
Responsibilities
As our Information Security Officer, you will be part of the Technology and Transformation team, responsible for providing security assurance across the organization to progress our strategy for 2024-29 and beyond. Your key responsibilities will include conducting regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities in our systems and operating environment. You will provide security advisory support on day-to-day operations and new technologies to enhance the resilience of our organization against potential threats. Additionally, you will implement and enforce security policies, respond to security breaches and incidents, conduct investigations, and produce reports for our Information Governance / ISMS Group, Information Asset Owners, and the Senior Information Risk Owner. You will also ensure compliance with security laws, regulations, and standards while supporting training and awareness programs for our employees on security best practices.

In return for your contributions, we offer a competitive salary of £37,500 - £40,500 per annum (depending on experience), a 35-hour work week with flexibility for work-life balance, enhanced family-friendly provisions, and additional annual leave benefits.
