Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with a strong understanding and knowledge of Information Security risk management tools and techniques.
- You should have a passion for cyber security and an active interest in technology.
- Experience with Information Security standards and frameworks is essential.
- An awareness and understanding of the Information Security threat landscape is necessary.
- You should have knowledge of Information Security solutions such as email/web gateways, SIEM, and Endpoint protection.
- Experience with next-generation security solutions is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Cloud security solutions and standards is highly advantageous.
- I prefer candidates who have experience working within recognized Information Security frameworks and best practices, such as ISO27001 and NIST.
- Experience in an Information Security role within a financial services or e-commerce environment is preferred.
- I value the ability to challenge approaches, strategies, and implementations to ensure Information Security is consistently improved.
- You should be structured, self-starting, flexible, and enjoy working in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to plan, organize, and follow through on assigned tasks with little or no prompting from management is necessary.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to support the Security Operations Manager in responding to, managing, and reporting on the Information Security Risks faced by Technology Services (TS) in delivering our systems and services.
- You will be key in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data within those systems.
- Reviewing and assessing Security Operations Centre alerts to ensure appropriate responses are taken will be part of your role.
- You will oversee vulnerability scanning to confirm the effectiveness of patching and monitor systems for compliance with policy, supporting remediation where required.
- Your responsibilities will include tracking and managing penetration testing programs and investigating/responding to security breaches and incidents.
- You will support the administration of email and web gateways and develop threat intelligence by monitoring external information sources to recommend the latest security threats and vulnerabilities affecting our technical estate.
- Collaborating with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed will also be part of your role.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions is essential.
