Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with prior commercial experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or Cyber Security Analyst, ideally within a similar SME-sized organization.
- A background in general Windows server support is essential, with broad experience in networks, virtualization, etc.
- You should have hands-on experience in the management of IDS/IPS, Firewalls, VPN, EDR/XDR, mail filtering, and other security products.
- Experience with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools is required.
- Any knowledge of ISO27001, as well as experience with penetration testing/vulnerability scanning, would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities
- In this role, you will join our internal security team to monitor and analyze real-time security events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats.
- You will conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks and breaches.
- Your responsibilities will also include investigating security incidents and conducting forensic analysis to determine the root cause and recommend remediation actions.
- I expect you to be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for all things security, staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry-standard methodologies, while providing recommendations for improvements.
