Requirements
Must:
- Strong working knowledge of OSI layers 1-7, with the ability to apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems across all networking disciplines.
- Experience supporting Cisco WLAN Controllers, SSIDs, and Access Points.
- Familiarity with routing & switching protocols, including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STPs, VRF, MC-LAG, FHRP, DMVPN, and NAT Policy.
- Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, and SDWAN concepts, with experience in supporting enterprise-class routers and switches in a global network environment.
- Experience in implementing and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, NAT policies, and software patch management.
- Proficient in implementing and troubleshooting internal and external DNS, IPAM, and DHCP.
- Experience in F5 LTM administration, including SSL certificate renewal, iRules creation, and software upgrades.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
- Major/high severity incidents management and vendor management experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCSA, and F5 Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance and capability of the network using various tools, identifying malfunctions of hardware, software, and alert events.
- Triage and troubleshoot issues and incidents within defined areas, following Standard Operating Manuals, and coordinating with third-party vendors, customer contacts, or other IT teams to implement solutions.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and all support departments.
- Perform proactive analysis by reviewing data from network monitoring tools to identify the best course of action to avert potential crises.
- Test and implement software patches and firmware for network and security devices.
- Coordinate with vendors or suppliers as needed.
