Requirements
Must:
- You should be in your penultimate year of study.
- Hands-on skills for software development, such as Python and C#.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving and bug fixes.
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- A fast self-learner.
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI design.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities
- Support senior software developers in maintaining and improving the current codebase.
- Develop and enhance software tools to evaluate the performance of biometric algorithms.
- Investigate and resolve underlying issues based on testing.
- Contribute to improvements to the face analysis algorithms.
- Ensure that code added to the pipeline/common Git repositories meets the required standards and is well documented/commented for ease of maintenance and extension.

At Innovative Technology, we offer an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer (Biometrics) Placement Student to join our talented team at our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester, for 12 months starting in Summer 2025. We have been trading for over 30 years, with offices on five continents and approximately 400 employees, more than 170 of whom are based at our state-of-the-art R&D hub.
