Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing, debugging, and maintaining technologies and frameworks such as Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular, Javascript, and REST API. Familiarity with database servers such as Oracle and NoSQL databases like Cassandra is essential, along with knowledge of database ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
Candidates must also have hands-on experience with microservices on cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience across the entire software development life cycle, exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security is required. Proficiency in testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber for unit and automation testing is also necessary. Candidates should be capable of managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders.

As a JAVA Full Stack Developer, you will execute creative software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions and resolve technical problems. You will develop secure and high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
Identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues is a key part of your role to enhance the overall operational stability of software applications and systems. You will lead communities of practice across software engineering, driving awareness and the use of new, leading-edge technologies. Additionally, you will contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect and provide guidance by leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of software engineers.

This exciting opportunity is for a contract position based in Glasgow, with a hybrid work model (3-5 days onsite) for a duration of 6 months. We are looking to fill four positions across the BFSI Capital Markets/Large Bank department. If you are ready to utilize your skills, knowledge, and experience and make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to join us.
