Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a Systems Engineer with a proven background in an engineering environment (such as defence, telecoms, rail, highways, energy, etc.).
- You should have Windows and Linux configuration and system administration skills, including experience with:
- Building and maintaining clusters
- Operating Hypervisors and virtual machines within clusters
- System administration with products such as Linux and LUCI
- Using Linux shell and scripting tools, including bash
- Disk partitioning
- Strong IP networking skills, including addressing, subnetting IP networks, and routing are essential.
- Experience working with highways technology or traffic signals would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- I need you to support the operations of a team working on our live national communication system.
- You will provide operational and technical support to customers, system users, and other stakeholders.
- Undertaking fault investigations and disseminating relevant diagnostic information will be part of your role.
- You will also be responsible for producing technical documents, system design specifications, test specifications, and more.

This position offers hybrid working from Manchester and a salary range of £55,000 to £60,000 per year, along with excellent company benefits and incentives.
