Must:
To be successful in this role, you will need strong commercial acumen and executive presence, along with comfort in navigating complex regulatory environments in financial services (FCA, PRA, DORA, etc.). International experience is a plus, and having great exposure to Cloud, Infrastructure, and Software contracts is crucial. You should possess confidence and the ability to influence others, particularly when challenging underperforming providers. Demonstrating examples of complex deals relevant to these criteria will also be important.
Responsibilities
In this newly created leadership position, you'll unify the strategic cloud partnerships for our business, focusing on key partnerships with Microsoft and AWS. Your role will oversee strategic sourcing, vendor management, and commercial negotiations across cloud platforms, particularly emphasizing a 10-year agreement with Microsoft and a 5-year renewal with AWS. You will manage Statements of Work, migration strategy, pricing, and cloud consumption, collaborating closely with Microsoft's autonomous unit and our internal teams across Compliance, Risk, and Delivery. On the AWS side, your responsibilities will include managing renewals and sourcing across key suppliers like Datadog, Snowflake, and CloudWatch, as well as SaaS and L&P-focused procurement. This role currently has one direct report (expanding to two), sits within a global team of 30, and reports to the Head of Technology Procurement.
