Must:
We are looking for a candidate with strong technology leadership experience within complex organizations. You should be able to set guard rails around scope, technology, quality, non-functional requirements, and best practices, and then empower your team to find the best solutions within those parameters. A deep understanding of full stack engineering best practices, including CI/CD and observability, is essential. You should be a strong partner to multiple business areas, delivering on key priorities with a collaborative mindset. A strong focus on people is important; we prioritize our team’s learning and development, understand how to keep them motivated, and build a culture based on psychological safety. The ideal candidate should be able to manage ambiguity and seek clarity through collaboration and communication, accompanied by a solid software engineering background to define and communicate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with our tech stack, including AWS, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Terraform, Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, and DocumentDB, is preferred.
Responsibilities
As our Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional product engineering team in supporting the growth of our Software Engineers. You will drive technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation while partnering closely with technical and business leaders to understand business processes and data flows. Your primary goal will be to design solutions that deliver better outcomes for our clients and colleagues. Additionally, you will recruit and shape a high-performing team of talented and experienced professionals. You will take ownership of the services under your team, including maintenance, support, security, and continuous improvement. We expect you to establish a culture driven by purpose and excellence, motivating your team to make a difference.
