Requirements
Must:
- Recognised ITIL certifications, including Change and Release Management
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (desirable)
- 5 years of Service Management experience, focusing on Change and Release Management
- Experience with Service Management and project delivery teams
- Knowledge of Project Management frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, Scrum Master, Agile
- Full UK driving licence (plus own transport)
- Proficient in Service Management tooling (e.g., Jira) and project planning/delivery tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, SmartSheet)
- Knowledge of Public Sector technology programmes
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills
- Excellent written, oral, and presentational skills
- Good knowledge of IT systems, software development, and architectures
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Problem-solving and analytical skills for managing complex workflows
Responsibilities
- Manage the Change Management governance and processes for internal technical changes
- Own and maintain the Change Management Framework to align with organizational and client needs
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to the Change Management framework
- Accountable for the governance of technical Change, providing traceability, audit, and reporting
- Provide Release Management expertise to Project, Delivery, and BAU teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and vendors
- Establish priorities for task completion, supervising the input of others
- Manage a variety of small and medium projects while supporting larger projects
- Oversee annual systems maintenance plan execution for clients
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulations, and business policies
- Lead change and release lessons-learned initiatives for continuous improvement
