Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a hands-on IT support or technician role. You should have strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and basic AV equipment. The ability to work independently under pressure in a live event environment is essential. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must. Additionally, you need to be flexible and available for evenings and weekends, as the schedule of fixtures will be pre-confirmed. It is important that you are based in or around Newport and have your own transport.
Responsibilities
As an On-Site IT Technician, I expect you to provide on-site IT support before, during, and after live sports events. You will troubleshoot any IT, AV, and POS equipment, which includes laptops, printers, networking gear, displays, and till & card machines. Ensuring stable internet connectivity will be a key aspect of your role. You will also be required to liaise with off-site technical teams to report issues or escalate support when necessary.
Description
This is a great opportunity for someone with a flexible schedule, a proactive mindset, and a passion for live events and technology. The contract type is ad-hoc, with fixtures being pre-confirmed and including weekends and evenings. The rate for this position is £15.00 per hour plus holiday pay, with the start date set for 1st July 2025.
