Requirements
Must:
- Development background with at least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering bespoke legal applications (1 year for junior candidates will be considered).
- Prior VisualFiles development experience.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Commercial awareness and curiosity to understand the challenges faced by the firm and its clients, and develop suitable solutions.
- Ability to quickly identify projects that may be at risk and communicate early to manage expectations accordingly.
- An innovative mindset, with a willingness to experiment and explore new technology solutions.
- Focus on application development with security in mind, ensuring data protection at all times.
Responsibilities
- Technical development: responsible for creating business solutions that interface with the firm's line of business applications and customizing off-the-shelf software.
- Develop the case management system to ensure continual optimization of business efficiency and procedures.
- Support the integration of VisualFiles with other firm-wide packages, including the practice management system.
- Propose, design, and implement new and innovative systems, analyzing existing systems to identify opportunities for streamlining and performance enhancement.
- Assist with business process analysis to enhance and develop workflow processes as needed.
- Work closely with the Projects team to map out projects.
- Workflow and integration development: build process improvement workflows across the line of business applications using available platforms, assisting others to integrate workflows into line of business applications.
- Database development: design data structures and access methods to support custom development.
- Data analysis: build applications for accurate management information and reporting, integrating case and financial data into developed applications.

We are a leading UK law firm seeking a Senior Visualfiles Developer to join our established team. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the UK, as we have offices nationwide. We are looking to add a couple of developers with varying levels of experience (junior, mid, or senior). This position is crucial to our business, and you will have significant autonomy in your work. We are offering a competitive starting salary ranging from £40,000 to £55,000, along with benefits that include flexible working arrangements.
