Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a PLC Programmer with the following key skills and qualities:
- IT/Electrical qualifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of software development experience, ideally with expertise in at least one of the following platforms: Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or Allen Bradley.
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
- A strong track record of learning and asking questions.
- Commitment and drive for quality, technical excellence, and results.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a helpful demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
As a PLC Programmer, my key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and developing FDS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software.
- Providing technical input to review contract software requirements.
- Assisting project managers in identifying technical and time scale risks.
- Preparing and reviewing software product requirements, design, and interface specifications.
- Preparing and reviewing test requirements for specific software applications/units to standards as defined within the codes of practice.
- Ensuring that system and unit design specifications comply with contractual safety standards.
- Identifying software-related variation order opportunities.
- Complying with company policies and procedures concerning safety, environment, and quality, including corresponding ISO record-keeping requirements.
