Requirements
Must:
- Recent experience with Java 17 (or later)
- Excellent understanding of TDD and BDD
- Experience with large microservice architectures
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Willingness to work in a pair programming environment
- Experience in implementing APIs for internal and external use
- Skills to build a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment
- Active involvement in the wider web development community, identifying good practices and sharing experiences
- Knowledge of tools and techniques used within the wider team
- Ability to take part in 2nd-line support of applications and platforms, including occasional support outside of office hours
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Working knowledge of Unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X
- Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques
- Understanding of the use of Responsive Web Design

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be an integral part of our team, designing, creating, and improving new and existing products, platforms, and transactions across the UK Government. Your day-to-day role will encompass contributing to our most demanding and exciting new digital services, ensuring robust solutions and ongoing support.
