Must:
We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer with significant demonstrable experience as a Performance Test Engineer or Lead in an agile team. You should possess a pragmatic, strategic mindset with a focus on systems scalability and sustainability. Extensive experience in performance testing APIs, UIs, microservices, and enterprise databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle) is essential. You must have a strong working knowledge of performance testing tools (such as JMeter and K6) and performance monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Kiali, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch. Additionally, you should have detailed working knowledge and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices.

In this role, you will ensure that our systems run smoothly under pressure and help build services relied upon by millions of people daily. You'll be part of an agile, forward-thinking team working on high-impact projects. Your primary responsibility will be leading performance testing across key services, collaborating closely with developers and architects. You will bring your expertise to various areas, including test automation and CI/CD integration. This is a hands-on role where you will shape strategy, mentor others, and help us stay ahead of the curve. You'll need to be comfortable working with tools like JMeter or K6, have experience with AWS and Kubernetes, and be familiar with Git pipelines.
Description
We offer competitive pay of up to £71,017, along with a generous civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, totaling over £16,000 per year. Our leave package starts at 26 days, rising to 31 days over time, and you can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time, plus all public holidays.
