Requirements
Must:
- Strong practical knowledge of testing methodologies: functional, non-functional, and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD-style tools such as Cucumber and/or SpecFlow.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (including Test Manager) and JIRA for test planning, execution, and defect management.
- ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end testing activities including System, Integration, Regression, and UAT for multiple projects.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to improve release speed and reliability.
- Mentor and coach Junior Testers, driving skills development, peer reviews, and best-practice adoption.
- Define and promote testing standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a leading UK software and digital solutions provider that delivers services to public sector and enterprise clients. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will join a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement. You will lead testing for complex, enterprise-grade solutions during the system, integration, regression, and UAT phases while championing automation and quality practices across delivery teams. Additionally, you will act as a technical mentor for junior testers and represent testing expertise in customer and pre-sales discussions to help shape solutions and proposals. This position is mostly remote, but you may occasionally be required to be onsite in Bristol or London. SC clearance is preferred.
