Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who are degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in Computer Science or a similar STEM discipline from a top-tier university (e.g., Russell Group). You should have strong Java and Kotlin development experience, as well as familiarity with Agile processes and Test-Driven Development (TDD). A thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms, is essential. Experience with additional technologies in our stack such as Scala, React, Spring, Oracle, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux would be beneficial. You should be collaborative and possess good communication skills.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Developer, you will collaborate with the Lead Engineer on our whiskey trading platform as we look to scale the platform and introduce new features. There is a strong focus on code quality as you design and develop highly complex web-based trading platforms, working across the full development lifecycle. You'll be encouraged to expand your skillset by using the latest technologies and selecting the best tools for the job within a friendly Agile team environment.
