Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Fullstack Java Developer who meets the following criteria:
- A degree in a numerate discipline or an equivalent qualification in computer sciences.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Java web application developer.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience developing full stack greenfield applications from inception to development and deployment.
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, and Redshift.
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Understanding of a wide range of open source and commercial technologies.
- A good grasp of databases and related concepts.
- Proficient in HTML and associated web technologies.
- Experience working within agile methodologies.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a history of mentoring others.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop full stack greenfield applications from the ground up, taking them through the entire development cycle to deployment.
- Collaborate with the team to utilize AWS services effectively for our applications.
- Implement and manage big data solutions using tools like Hadoop and Spark as needed.
- Contribute to the design and architectural decisions surrounding our software.
- Write high-quality code using technologies such as Java, Scala, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Ensure best practices in coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Work as part of an agile team, participating in sprints and stand-ups to drive project progress.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative team environment.
Description
This remote position requires two days a month on-site in London. The offered rate for this role is £500.00, and it is outside the IR35 regulation.
