IT Systems Engineer

In this role, your key responsibilities will include configuring and managing Hyper-V virtualization environments, developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for Windows virtualization, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration. You will diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the virtualization environment, working with both Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Evaluating products and overseeing the implementation of system upgrades will also be part of your duties. You'll lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex solutions while coordinating activities with other technical personnel. Conducting capacity planning reviews with management and approving plans developed by less experienced personnel will be necessary, along with developing strategies to manage support package and patch applications. Monitoring server backups and network uptime, providing recommendations when required, and liaising with third-party vendors for support and procurement will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, coordinating proposals and work estimates for system administration projects in collaboration with business development personnel will be required. You will also need to design and implement secure systems and network policies while providing technical guidance to your team.
